We, the Trichowin GmbH, have been committed to environmentally friendly control of insect pests in gardens and households since 2021. With our many years of experience and expertise, we have made it our goal to breed insects as beneficial insects.

For several years now, we have been working intensively with automatic breeding equipment and technology for various breeding processes in order to open up more and more areas of application. The integration of modern technology in the field of insect breeding has immense potential and therefore also forms the basis of the Trichowin GmbH.

Parasitic wasp (Trichogramma evanescens)

The 0.4 mm Trichogramma evanescens ichneumon wasps are used for the biological control of food and clothes moths. They lay their eggs specifically in the moth eggs, which can then no longer develop. One ichneumon wasp lays up to 100 eggs.Trichogramma females live for an average of 12 days at 20°C.

Application is totally simple! The strips are ready to use and are simply placed in the vicinity of the infestation, for example in a kitchen box or on a food shelf. The practical packaging also offers the option of hanging the strips directly on a coat hook.

How many cards are needed to get rid of the moths?

One card is sufficient for approx. 1 metre of clothes rail and per shelf/kitchen drawer

For carpets or in open areas, 1 card is sufficient for 5 square metres To control the moths permanently, it is recommended to apply ichneumon wasps every 3 weeks

• for clothes moths: apply 5 times (15-week course in total)

• for food moths: apply 3 times (9-week treatment in total)

When and how do I get the parasitic wasps?

Once we have received your order, your delivery will arrive within approx. 2-4 working days.

We will automatically send you new strips when you order a cure The old strips should be replaced by the new ones.

When and at what temperature can I apply the parasitic wasps?

All year round, at a temperature within 15-30°C.

Are parasitic wasps safe for humans, pets and textiles?

There are no concerns for humans, pets or textiles Trichogramma parasitic wasps specialise exclusively in moth eggs

Is there a parasitic wasp infestation when there are no more moths?

If the Trichogramma evanescens does not find any moth eggs to parasitise, its job is done and it virtually disintegrates into dust So there is no need to worry about a parasitic wasp infestation

Can I also deploy the cards later?

The original packaging of the ichneumon wasps can be stored at 8-10°C for a maximum of one day after receipt.
